Welcome to Hootenanny. This fun and eclectic store evolved from many facets of my life. Mostly from my desire to have a retail store in our small town of Petaluma, CA.

My first booth at the 2004 Grand Nationals brought scores of requests to create a website. Thankfully I found Bonnie of StoryBoard Productions, and together we built a website chock full of great items that is fun to browse through. My booths at rodeos and horse events reflect that too.

I wish I could put all of my things in here, and little by little, each issue will have more. I think we've got a great assortment for you to peruse. 25 years in the gift and housewares industry has taught me how to pull all of this together.

I comb the country at trade shows, hit up crafts people to create things just for Hootenanny and my husband and I have even had things manufactured just for us.

The influence comes from my dear friend Brook. She loved chickens! She loved her pet chickens clucking and scratching in the backyard on her beautiful horse ranch as well as decorating with with chickens and roosters in her lovely home.

Whenever I saw something with a chicken on it, I bought it for her - we often gave each other gifts for no reason.

Sadly, Brook lost her courageous battle with breast cancer in 2001 at the age of 42. When I see anything with a rooster or a hen on it, I break down and have to buy it, either for Hootenanny or for myself. Thus the large selection of chickens and roosters.

Together we can help find a cure for breast cancer while we express our great love of chickens - and that will make Brook smile.

My sister, Evelyn, my daughters and I have built booth after booth recreating an absolutely jam packed, fun filled store at each event. I love hearing how much you all enjoy the things we have to offer. Your feedback has inspired me to create this catalog both online and in print.
